It is always hard to say goodbye.

Especially after an incredible season.

But there is always next season my friends.

And I get my husband back until the middle of August.

So I will be sad for a day, and then will be back on my feet, and look forward to next year.

Because once a fan. Always a fan.

San Jose Sharks-not so bad since they are a Western Conference.

Game 5 was back in the Verizon Center. The Caps, had a chance to take it home, win the series and have a week break before series 2 starts. And while many of us, including the players wanted this, the Habs wanted to extend the series to at least another weekend just as much. Game 3 started like an average game. There was little scoring, and a lot of back and forth between both teams. I held my breath through most of it because while my husband swore we were outplaying the Habs, I didn't see the score and to myself. if I don't see results I pretty much don't understand how we can exactly be outplaying someone. Due to Thursday nights loss, nerves, and emotions were already on high. Despite my husbands attempt at being overly positive I went into tonight's game with unsure expectations. After all the hype, the wait and the expectations surrounding the Caps. Game 1 went to Montreal with a score of 3-2 in overtime. Quieting the home crowd and leaving meaning already to count them out of the entire thing.  Because apparently a series is won in the first game? Isn't it the best of four? Thus ends another regular hockey season. The Caps have won the division, won the president's trophy and have secured themselves a seat in the playoffs for the third year in a row.
