Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for your wonderful Christmas cards! Really made my holiday brighter :)
Working nights, I actually slept till 4:30 pm today! I'm usually up by 3 pm. I'm surprised - but then my first night always is a bit rough. Last night was alright - I asked to work my 5 nights on a medical floor that's basically for people waiting for nursing homes - most of them generally sleep right through the night, and they are all either palliative or waiting to go to nursing homes, so everyone is relatively stable compared to the rest of the hospital. A nicer place to work over the holidays, quiet.
Christmas night we're having a little potluck for everyone working through the holidays - if I hadn't slept until supper time when the grocery store closed, I could have bought something for the potluck. Looks like I'll have to make something instead. Uh oh :P
