Why do I always do these picspams when I should be revising for upcoming exams?

Hello flist! I return once more into the land of LJ, with a fairly pretty picspam to ease me back in.

This scene is just so heartbreaking. I can't listen to any of the songs from WSS without thinking about it.

Also, *is totally jealous you're going to the city* I haven't been in a year, which is how long it's been since I've seen a musical, which is just wrong.

Suggestions:
Food: The food court in Grand Central (there's also one in Rock. Plaza, I believe) is a pizza place called Two Boots which is FANTASTIC. I eat there four or five times whenever I'm in NYC. Also, Junior's, while touristy, is still a pretty good place to eat before catching a show.

B'way shows: In the Heights, Hair, and West Side Story. (My #1 rec is In the Heights, because it's not touring yet. Hair has gotten fantastic reviews, and my friends who have seen it are in love with it. If you like WSS, I suggest the revival.) Also playing, Avenue Q (which is INSANELY FUNNY), Guys and Dolls (which has gotten okay reviews but a good cast), 9 to 5 (which I don't know very much about, but a lot of the people on my flist like it), and Wicked (if you can get tickets.) Try and get your tickets cheap online (there are a number of websites available via Google search.)

I can't say much about the attractions and whatnot, because it's been a very long time since I've done any of them, and it really just depends on what you have time to do. Plus, I only go to NYC to see B'way shows.

That was probably way too much information, but you asked for it.

I know! Whenever I hear the songs I flashback to this scene.

Thank you so much for all the info. I'm definitely going to try and get to Two Boots, looks yummy!

Sadly WSS is my brother's least favourite musical so that probably isn't an option. In the Heights looks good though, I might see if I can find some cheap tickets. I did really want to see Guys and Dolls (Lauren Graham!) but I had a read through some of the reviews, which has put me off a tad. I saw Ewan McGregor and Jane Krawoski in it here a few years ago which was fantastic, so this one would have a lot to live up too! Wicked and Avenue Q I've seen but my family hasn't, I think they'd like Avenue Q the best, so I might try for that one as well, if it's like here the tickets are fairly cheap as musicals go!

Thank you for all the info :D
