Another week passed by and I'm now moving on to my LAST WEEK of placement.
I went over my evaluation with my cooperating ECE teacher yesterday before I have my final evaluation with my faculty on Monday. My ECE teacher gave me some very positive feedback and I think she was actually very genuine about the comments she wrote for me. I mean, I know which areas I lack confidence in and still need to work on, but she even gave me great ratings in those areas too. But overall I felt like I've done really well in this placement. It's probably one of the very best I've had so far. Best in academic wise, performance, and confident level. I actually ENJOYED going to placement and everyday and I look forward to teaching and doing activities with the kids. It's been a wonderful experience in this past 6 weeks and I will definitely miss the kids when I'm gone.
I wanted to give the kids each an indvidiual goodbye gift but it'd be quite costly if I do since I have like 25 children in my class. And I actually don't really have time to make them the gifts either since I have so much to do this weekend. I also just paid my hydro bill at the bank yesterday and I will need money to buy the TTC metropass for transporation later at the end of the month, so I'm kind of tight on money! =/ Even though I actually want to make and give the kids something that they can keep and remember, it's just a really difficult time for me to do that right now. So in the end, I bought a bag of sugar candy as a goodbye gift for them and it's also just great for HALLOWEEN! I bought candy instead of chocolate because 3 of the kids in my room can't have peanuts and is allergic to peanuts, so I can't bring any peanut product into the room.
Anyway, here's some cooking pictures of what I made for dinner this week.
Monday's dinner: shrimp, skinny ribs with black beans sauce and some Chinese veggies.
Tuesday's dinner: lobster meat fish balls, chicken wings boiled with soy sauce and Chinese veggies again.
Friday's dinner: Leftovers from Thursday night and fish that I bought from wal-mart after daycare. I had dinner alone on Friday night because my brother went out to some birthday party, so I just kind of kept it simple. However, I told the guy selling the fish that I wanted a small fish and he ended up giving a big huge one. -_____-"
There's no pictures of Wednesday and Thursday night's dinner because it was just mainly eating leftover food from the nights before with fried eggs added. When you only have two people eating, there isn't much needed to be cooked since both my brother and I don't eat much. lol.
I'm actually eat sweet potatoes dessert right now. Mmmm...yummy! =9 And my brother said we'll be making seafood pasta tonight. HE'S COOKING IT! Or so he said he will. lol.
I think one of the things I do enjoy while my parents are gone on vacation is being able to cook whatever I want and however I want! I actually enjoy and look forward to cooking after I come home from daycare every night, haha. However, if my mom was here, I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much. I just don't like how my mom nags me while I'm cooking and telling me I need to do this and do that. Ugh, it's just sooooooo annoying sometimes. I know what I'm doing so just let me do what I want to do! D:
