Blogging for Books)
" Knockout Knits " by Laura Nelkin is a fantastic book for folks like myself who dabble in knitting. It's got great projects for everyone from beginners to experts. All the patterns are laid out clearly and explained in easy to understand terminology and the photographs give one a good idea of what the finished project is going to look like. There's a nice variety of projects that go beyond the usual scarves and hats and all of them have a excellent contemporary vibe about them. I'd highly recommend this book for lovers of handcrafted items who have aspirations to try out a few new knitting projects. I've already found some great ideas for holiday gifts! All in all it's a very well rounded collection and I've greatly enjoyed reading through it.
