So, my English professor from Nepal really has great things to say. Every class time he says something that makes so much sense. It gets me to think, "why didn't I think of that?" Today he said something to me that made me at ease with the whole pro-life vs. pro-choice issue. He said something along the lines of that there is no such thing as good or bad. If you categorize things into two groups, that means you have been "colonized" (he uses that word a lot... ha ha). Basically, what he was trying to say was that concepts vary from person to person. If a person is brought up, for example, in a pro-choice household they will probably be told that freedom of choice is good. They would not necessarily see it as bad. This works the other way too. So, even though I'm pro-life I have learned to accept the pro-choice stance. I just never knew why or if whether it made sense to believe one thing but accept another view. Well, of course it made sense. I guess I'm just happy because what he said put things into perspective for me. I really appreciate his words of wisdom. :)
