Friday was closing night of the play, and it was nice to see someone that I haven't in so long. It was kind of sad coming home though and knowing that there wouldn't be any more performances or rehersals or Saturday morning insane-fests to go to.

Saturday was an easy day. Slept in late, thank goodness, and then proceeded to watch The Virgin Suicides until the very last minute I could wait until. Luckily, I had enough time to jump in the shower before people showed up. It all went well, got many more hats, and everything is going to go so well on the 22nd.

Slept till 9 on Sunday morning, then stayed in my pajamas until around one. Then proceeded to straighten my hair (slightly pointlessly) for the concert. Got all dolled up, with the gold eyes going on. I think I sparkled more than the ball on New Year's Eve in Times Square. But, it was worth it:

First act was Paper Tounges, and I have to say, one of the shittiest bands of all time. Next was Anberlin, and they were sheer brilliance for only playing 25 minutes. ...
30 Seconds to Mars blew my mind, even though the only played four songs. They were wonderful though. The only downside was that I got trampled in the mosh, got my ribcage stomped, beer spilled down my shirt, and some black and blue knuckles from socking the jerk who trampled my poor ribs.
I was really looking forward to Rise Against, but I was having such a hard time breathing from my injury that we went outside, and lo and behold, Jared and Co. were signing cds and the like. So I got my behind in line and talked to one of the most beautiful men alive.
K:"Your show was amazing, but I think I broke a rib.."
JL:"Oh shit, I'm so sorry, is there anything I can do for you?"
K:"You could sign to Katie, love Jared"
JL:"Done."
So I got my lovely This is War signed and everything, and the pain is lessened even more. THEN...
A.F.I. Pure Fucking Perfection. Nothing rivals it. He (Davey) jumped off an amp behind the drum kit, did midair splits, and landed as smoothly as a tabby. Every song was wonderful and loud, and screamy and melodious. Sang every word and locked eyes with him.

Today was an alright day, I was obviously tired as shit, but I wore my new shirt and felt all revived. This is gonna be a nice week since the grading period ended last week, and I've only got a practical and a final.

I believe in nothing, not the the end and not the start. I believe in nothing, not the earth and not the stars. I believe in nothing, not the day and not the dark. I believe in nothing, one hundred suns until we part. I believe in nothing, not in sin and not in God. I believe in nothing, not in peace and not in war. I believe in nothing but the truth and who we are.
