Sorry it took me so long to reply. Ginni's stuff had overwhelmed me a bit, and it took a while to sort out. Then I had to analyze this one, which is no small task by itself. I'd say, no, don't take it off. I do like this one, especially the 4th, 5th, and 6th stanzas, although it's hard to pick just a few, because it's all phrased so well. The whole mood is lovely, and I think the way you worded everything is pretty. It's vague without being tedious. I also wanted to know, because I saw Neko's post to this on the sweet 16 boards, if the last line was a pun on whole. I think you should keep it like it is, and claim that the pun was intentional. ;) Very nice, though, Mel.
