Mommy Daughter Day
So tonight is DeAnne's senior prom. For weeks we have gone back and forth about going. First she wants to, then the next day she doesn't.
First it was about a dress, we couldn't afford to get her one, she wouldn't be able to find one that fit, she couldn't go shopping. Any excuse. We bought her one & it looks perfect on her. She looks beautiful!
Next it was about getting her hair and nails done. She wanted to have them done professionally and not have to do them herself. I talked to my mom and we used Tradebank to make the appointment for hair and nails but the pedicure lady was off that day. Oy. So we had to make an appointment somewhere else, which got rescheduled twice- one of those times was yesterday at 10a.m.
Then back to the dress...and shoes. she didn't have any yet.
And finally to not having a date. She asked several friends, one of whom was yeah sure that would be great-as long as it's not during my spring break. Guess what it is. Another friend said yes and told one of her friends a couple weeks later he was just kidding. Elizabeth even tried to help her out with some of her friends but the one who was going to be in town was already going to prom with his girlfriend (different prom) I finally told her that with or without a date she was going because we already bought her dress and shoes.
Sunday we figured since the prom was in Knoxville and that was where we were going for hair and nails that we would go to Elzabeth's house to get ready & that Liz would do her make-up. Tuesday she asked a girlfriend if she wanted to go together to hang. That was decided. Her friend was going to meet her there and they would go together in her friends car.
So all is decided. She and I are going to Knoxville to get her hair and nails done. I am getting my hair cut. I may see if they can do a manicure for me too since I haven't gotten one in almost 4 years & only 3 total and it would be nice. Then we are going to Elles house- my niece may, possibly come. Not sure what's going on with her. But that's another story entirely.
Oh well we will have a fun day doing hair and nails and being silly girls. :-)
