Had a great morning with Tom; he stayed up later than usual, we went out and paid bills and did some shopping (traded in Games at Gamestop) went to Blockbuster, etc. Then we picked up some Wendy's and came home to have lunch together. It was great. After lunch I tucked him in and finished the errands I had to run. Luckily Anne let me borrow her car, we really needed some groceries.
I had to go to the Sevierville Gamestop to pick up Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga for Thomas' birthday. The local one was out of it. I asked Anne if she minded my going out there. She said no, just pick up De, that way I can get to Knoxville earlier. Fine, not a problem...
EXCEPT...
People are stupid and can't drive worth a crap! A 20-30 minute drive took an hour because from the interstate to center of town (about 10 miles) There was a wide load trailer. The car in the left lane would NOT pass it! I don't know why, it was staying far enough on the right shoulder that it left plenty of passing room. After Gamestop went out to pick up De. two miles up that road what do I see??? That same damn wide load. Followed then trying to turn.
Picked up De and had to wait for the Secretary to come back from getting her- small school, no intercoms. To leave. I decided to go the back roads home to miss some of the traffic that was building...maybe not such a good idea. Followed a slow pickup for a few miles then he pulled to the side to let me and the truck in front of me go. A few miles down the road...a school bus! Argh. We followed it for several miles until it moved. Then of course the two school zones we had to go through. AAAAHHHHHH! Plus I still hadn't finished grocery shopping. I didn't finish in the a.m. because they were still stocking meat and produce and I wanted the really fresh stuf so I only got essentials the first time.
All that crap put me in a really bad mood! made me incredibly touchy. Didn't help that Anne was in a bad mood, De got pissed off because she had to go home and mow instead of coming to our house, my dad is sick and hasn't talked to the guy about the car again. I really need a car!!!!! The sooner the better.
Luckily I am in a much better mood now.
