Puppy Update
Thank you to all my wonderful friends for all your puppy mojo. Just an update on Rosie.
When the doctor called they said she was resting pretty comfortably; they had given her morphine. She has a dislocated hip, which they will put back into place when they do the surgery tomorrow, to repair the inguinal hernia (in her groin area on the inner surface of the rear leg). They are waiting at least 24hrs after she was hit until they operate to make sure she is stable and is at no risk for shock or anything. When she is sedated for the surgery they will also do more x-rays to make sure her pelvis isn't fractured. They couldn't get the view they needed without putting her on too much pain today because they need to stretch her legs out. We have to hope the hip stays in place after they put it back and doesn't pop back out, if it does they will have to go back in and do another surgery and take out the bone and leave it muscle to muscle. Not sure how that works.
If all goes well she should be home on Friday. Not sure how I am going to pay for it all. The doctor told me the cost will be between $500 & $800. That's Tom's paycheck. Hopefully I will hear back from one of the places I put an app. in at today.
