   This is a musical my best friend (the divine onthestairs) is writing. If you haven't heard it yet, you will someday. I can't express how fucking good it is.
2. david carroll:
   One of the greatest musical theatre actors lost far too soon to AIDS in the early 1990s. There aren't many people whose voice affects me the way his does.

   A flavor, a game, a really lame private joke. Ohhhhhh, grape.

   The drummer in Sleater-Kinney, as well as the character I used to play in the Rocky Horror Picture Show floorshow in younger days.

   A great musical written by Jason Robert Brown. I saw it in Skokie before the law got its hands on it.
6. movie trailers:
   I could watch trailers for hours. The art that goes into these things is really quite incredible. I once wrote a major research paper about them and it somehow made me love them more, not less.
7. parker posey:
   Hmmmm. I love her in the Guest films but since seeing her on the Drama Desk awards tape at potatomistress's, I kind of want to kick her. I'll have to rethink this one.
8. raul esparza:
   Ah, an enigma. Sexy musical theatre actor currently appearing in Chitty fuckin' Chitty Bang Bang. He's pretty, but apparently you shouldn't ask him to make you a tape.
9. starbucks:
   An addiction. It's really, really sad.
10. the white stripes:
    Have loved them since I saw them open for Sleater-Kinney years ago in a college basement at Oberlin. I do wish Jack would get rid of his child-molester-from-the-1890s 'stache, though.
