Garden Planted
So, we now have lettuces, strawberries, basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary, sage, parsley, eggplant, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, fennel, and pumpkins planted. Rowan loves to water the pots when he gets home from school. We moved some things around and have our pot of carnations in a bed with our Buddha and the pink flamingos all surrounded by pots of herbs and succulents. We put up some trellises and poles for the plants to climb up as they grow. It is really lovely and peaceful. Tim realized that the idea of gardening in the ground is not very appealing to him. But, somehow, having pots and other containers is exciting. Not logical, no, but a good realization. So often we try to do things in the way we think it is supposed to be done, and when we fail, we blame ourselves. So much better to recognize that we don't like to do it a certain way and try to change the way it is done to increase our chances of success.
