My west coast fun is almost up.. sadly.. it's been cool though, i've had the chance to get to know cousins that i havent had much communication with over the years. i have now realized how deeply rooted my family is with musical talent. I jammed with my cousin Brent a wee bit (the one that lives in nashville and tours and sings all the time) so that was cool. Talked with my other cousin Brad, he's 30 something and plans on going back to school then opening his own studio. Got to see my uncle's "tour bus" for the quartet that they're in.. it's pretty much amazing, i told them i might need to borrow it sometime. And perhaps the most encouraging thing of all was my Uncle Mike's last words to me. He grabbed my shoulders with both hands made eye contact with me and just said "you can do anything you want in this world, dont stop playing". Sometimes i think we run around here and there thinking that, but not really believing it, and i think uncle mike just pushed me one step closer to believing... time for a long plane ride back to nothingness.
