I'm not really a fan of ballet. I'll sit through it and be okay with it but I would much rather see a play or musical. I do appreciate the physical skill of dancers, but I'm lazy in my theatre experiences and prefer to be told the story instead of trying to figure out what the crack is going on.
I couldn't agree with you more... but maybe I'll try anyway. I can't get enough of the rent soundtrack these days, I think even though it typically requires more attention to listen to a story in song, I love how you can listen to it later and recall the musical. If I were interested in listening to books on tapes or in this case plays on tape I could probably say the same thing for that, but I'm not. So I'm not sure why I'm babbling, but I was probably just trying to say that I agree that Musicals and Plays are far more enjoyable to me, with musicals being ever so slightly higher on my list than plays.
So you go every year but you dont really like it??? I like it....even though Im not crazy about ballet...it was something different besides the typical dinner and a movie.
I wouldn't say I don't like it, and I definitely wouldn't go if I didn't like it, but I think seeing the girls is the biggest reason I go. And I definitely agree with you about how it is a nice change of pace from the typical dinner and a movie.
