Should I feel like Beethoven or something?
*sigh of relief* I spent all afternoon composing. How many people on earth can say that?! YEAH. Thought so. But now I'm all set for my composition "audition". It's really just a review of my pieces and explaining technical stuff about it.
Dude, this is serious music, like classical music here. I'm excited!
There's no real way up post the sheet music on here, which is what the audition-y thing is about, but the program I use to write it generates a MIDI file from the music, so I'll upload the MIDIs.
First, my choral piece with the lyrics "To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven." repeating a bunch. The lyrics aren't sung by the oh-so-high-tech keyboard MIDI generators, so you'll just have to bear with.
"A Time for Everything"
Then there's my piano piece. I like how it came out, man. I figured out a main theme, then just messed with it and transposed it and changed keys and a buncha other variations.
"Theme en Variation"
I hope I get everything all sorted out for the school year tomorrow. I gotta buy my books tomorrow too. >.< Man, I'm learning the impoverished artist lifestyle right from the get-go.
