"I listened and I heard music in a word"

School wasn't too horrible. It was like one of those dreams where you dream of a place you were in childhood or just really long ago and you're simply ghosting through it. The day went by fairly quickly though. Our History teacher just ended up filling the time planning our schedule for the week (he's organized like that) and telling stories about how the best time of his life was spent studying abroad in England and how his friend traveled most of the world by just raising up a bunch of money then leaving for a foreign country for months at a time. Haha, understandably this got me dreaming. I figure I should do the same, but just set up my home base in England. ^^ Sounds good to me. I'd love to travel all across Northern Europe, Russia, and Eastern Europe. Fascinating! Just me, maybe a friend, my camera, and my journal.

On the car ride home from school, I got to bonding over online acquaintances with my brother of all people. Apparently he was talking to this British guy who wanted to be American. They were talking about Manchester football and my brother was teaching him about "your momma" jokes. :P Heh, they were apparently talking about British humour making up for them pilfering all our TV shows. I told him he should have brought up British comedians. Heh, I've taught him well...because he agreed that Eddie Izzard and Russell Brand are FTW. ^^ And yes, we both agreed that time zones are a bummer. Lovely to know that I'm actually related to my brother after all.

Haha, just when I was about to get the gall to intro in
blackcigarette, they go and say no more introduction posts for a while. :P Go figure, life.

I really ought to be doing my homework right now...but I really don't care. My parents are both quite concerned with my Physics grade. (Curse putting unfinalized grades online!) It reads that I have a D+, but that is because I haven't turned in any homework. The teacher will accept homework up until the end of the quarter, so I say just make it up that last week. Eh, I fear a ton of work that last weekend before the end of the quarter. :(

My mom had brought up exercising every monday and thursday before my track season starts up, but I thought nothing of it because she never mentioned it again. So today after we're all home, she asks if I'd like to go for a run/walk/whatever around the local lake. It was a welcome surprise. ^^ If only she wouldn't bring up any Physics homework torment. It was good to walk two miles just chatting with her, though. We talked a bunch about that bodyworlds exhibit, our crazy family, today's happenings...you know. I enjoyed it.

OOoo, good news! I'm going to go into the city Thursday night for a concert! It's this band Entrance from LA. They're a really up and coming psych rock band, so I'm uber excited to get to hear them locally. Also, I've myspaced the opening act (a folk singer) and she sounds smashing! Haha, my mom agreed to go with me if I turned in my FAFSA and figured out when my audition is for the Composition majors. :P So, I'm almost done with that, so Thursday should be a wonderful evening! I'm am curious to see how my mom likes the psychedelic rock, lol.

And it's good to get back in the habit of drinking tea. It seems that I need it every school night, maybe to calm some unconscious stress? Like I've said before, I just don't get stressed. I don't know if that's necessarily a good thing, but be that as it may. You know, both yesterday and this morning there was a period of about a minute where I could've sworn I smelled Earl Grey tea just on the air. I really have missed it. Yet another addiction to add to my long list. ^^
