1. concept albums- One of my one true loves in life!! In my critiques of music and bands, I'm much harder to impress if you don't have a concept album. It's the fact that you play it all together, you get sucked in for about two hours on this storyline, you need to dig for the meaning, you need to study the context a song is in to understand the song itself, everything about it! You really get into the writer's head for that little slice of time. And usually the best songwriters undertake this challenge. It's also known as a rock opera. ^^ Some of my favorite concept albums are "Tommy", "Quadrophenia", "The Wall", "Animals", "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", and "And the Glass Handed Kites" (that's by Mew. They're one of the few modern bands to do a concept album that I've seen).
2. donovan- Only one of the most amazing singer/songwriters ever! I listen to "Hurdy Gurdy Man", "Pictures of Matchstick Men", "Mellow Yellow", "Catch the Wind", "Season of the Witch", etc etc over and over! He's called the British Bob Dylan, to the dislike of him and Bob...because they both ended up going away from the stereotypical Dylan acousticness. Have a video.

Ak, I could have seen this, if I'd been alive. Totally could have been at said palace of cows.And, man the anniversary of that is coming up really soon! I think that was '67? Could it be the 40 year celebration? Maybe Donovan'll just have to come back and play there to commemorate the occasion. ;)
3. interwebz- DUR where we are right now. The interwebz is just a funny way to put it, and its connotation that I get is to all the inside jokes you get simply by being online. There are a ton of them, really.
4. lulz- Teh LULZ! Mostly by macros. ^^ My preferred lol? rock_macros. Here's one of my favorite non-rock_macro lulz
5. minidresses- Haha, need I say more? I dig 60s style, man. I've always envied Pattie Boyd's wardrobe. And besides, who doesn't want to kick around a short dress all day?
6. mod- Pretty much one of the cooler shifts in the waves of fashion. The fact that it was fronted by bands like The Who and The Kinks make it even better. ^^ Swingin' Sixties overall was probably amazing. Not like I'd know from experience. *hands head*
And cheers to all you that commented on my drawings and photos. ^^ You still don't understand how exciting it is to me to be able to draw! I've been flaunting it all day. :P
Anyways, I have to dash off to piano lessons now.
