Roger's birthday! ^^

I've been really tired all day today. >.< I really need to get more than 7 hours of sleep.

So because of all the pressure *realizes at this moment she doesn't have any music on and turns it to "Under Pressure"* being put on me by my parents and teachers, I was looking at college websites. I signed up for a tour of San Jose Sate...because it's close and I've heard it has a pretty good music program. I was also drooling over the Cal Arts page. Yeah, they have quite the campus for music, art, writing, and everything! I could technically take music, writing, graphic design, and photography classes!! I think I'd explode from joy if that actually could happen. ^^ Ugh, I just hate thinking about it. I mean, I'd have to pull together a portfolio if I wanted to anything for art. I mean, I have tons of stuff for studying creative writing, piano performance, as well as photography and graphic design...but I want to take music composition! In order to just apply for those classes, you need at least three pieces that you've written! >.< Ah, but that's at the serious artsy fartsy Cal Arts school. Hopefully I can go to San Jose and get some composition classes without a portfolio? Or maybe I could compose some piano ditty in a weekend or two. :P I know I could do it...it's just... It's so embarrassing because the whole house can HEAR you! Well, come to think of it, I have a few guitar riffs... They're so elementary, though! >.< *sigh* At least there's those first two years of gen ed, right? I want to go to a full university for that, then hopefully transfer to a smaller arty school for the last two (plus?) years.

No more talk of college, please. It's too frustrating. And don't even bring up scholarships, lol. Who knows? Maybe there's one for writing an essay about how hippies affected the mainstream culture...in, say, 15 pages? (lol, that was what I wrote on last year in US History. Maybe I could use it in a scholarship somewhere).

Anyways, I heard on my radio that it is Roger Water's birthday today!! It's called the "Chronicles" and they list basically a "this day in Rock history" type thing. Apparently, the Stones started one of their tours (the name eludes me) and Eric Clapton recorded the guitar solo for "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". And the cool thing is that they play the songs mentioned. They played "Have A Cigar" in honor of Roger's birthday. Eh, I still think "Pigs (three different kinds)" would have been a much better choice. Eh, but it's the radio and they get points for trying. ^^ And recently, for Freddie Mercury's birthday, they played "Bohemian Rhapsody". Yeah, we have good radio stations out here. I switch stations vehemently so a good song's playing at all times. Haha, yes, between my three favorite local stations and my four favorite XM stations. ^^ I'm a busy driver, that's all I can say. Anyways, on the next station they were playing "Running with the Devil" by Van Halen and my brother and I sang a parody of our own design called "Running with a shovel". :P Haha, you know like running with scissors? Yeah. We're a fun bunch. Anyways, Happy birthday to Roger! ^^ Umm...keep writing my favorite music....please...and come tour SF soon.

My brother is sitting right next to me and saying to play "Just like a Woman" to get it out of his head. :P Oh, I'm an awesome influence. Plus, we were singing "Carrie-Anne" by the Hollies while we washed the dishes. ^^

Anyways, we have tennis too. *le sigh* Eh, it's just ok. I mean, now that I can play, why quit? I dunno.
