I know I posted one whopper of an entry yesterday...heh heh. That's what I get for being gone so long. >.< But I wanted to update. ^^

On Sunday, because my friends were all at camp, I mixed the whole church service...by myself!! O.O Yeah. Nobody else was in the mixing room with me. I've mixed only like two or three times before, so this was kinda sudden. I'm alright at it. I'm certainly not like amazing at it, but it'll do. I just can't help but feel all impressed with myself because I managed to catch everything in the mix, it sounded pretty good, and I added the tracks to the CD as I went. ^^ YAY! You see, a musician's gotta know what's going on in the producer's box. Plus, most musicians have no clue how mixing works, so they end up being impossible to work with because they don't take in mind all the limitations of mixing as they're recording. So, I'm really grateful that I can learn how this works.

This is going to be one busy two or three weeks for me!! This week and next we'll still have the two exchange students here. Harry Potter comes out on Saterday (can I ask to go to a bookstore that day? *crosses fingers*). My friend's coming over on Monday, my birthday's on Tuesday (whoohoo!...I still dunno what to do. Heh. Ideas???), then Bob Dylan concert on the 27th-28th (we're staying a night down thar). And THEN on Aug 2nd-4th, we're going to a Christian music festival down south near the coast. I don't care much for the music, but it's music. ^^ I'll bring my acoustic up there and play it when we're in the cabin/RV (depends on what we can get). Yeah, and that's not including everyday business, you know. Piano lessons, babysitting, errands, etc.

You know, today I washed all my laundry. That's such a good feeling. ^^ All my clothes are clean! And I did it whilst watching a rockumentary on the Sex Pistols and that other documentary about the Stones concert on the motorway by SF. ^^ You know, I still can't believe that happened here. We've driven by there before. It's a huge freeway now. Haha, that documentary makes me laugh, actually. Those were the people that lived in my area all those years ago... Haha. High as a hot air balloon. It's really not my scene. I keep watching it though! I don't know, but it intrigues me. ^^ London in the 60s was really where it was all happening. ;) In my daydreams about it, I love imagining the people's reactions when they hear I'm from Cali. :P Of course, I fit right in there in London, so it doesn't matter in the long run, but still. ;)

Why, oh why summer?! Why have you made me fall from my original creativity? *sigh* I've been meaning to write a poem for some time now. I wrote one during my trip. It's not too wonderful, but it's something. I did write a riff/guitar ditty a few days ago, actually. I quite like it. ^^ Maybe I should meld it with the one I've been cultivating for a while now. It'd be one brilliant song. I ought to write a poem to use for lyrics, then. I dunno. We'll see what works out. It's now like I can go in and dub in electric guitar, which is what I really need over it. *sigh* I'm miserable at writing solos anyways. I just write the main riff pretty technically (none of this plain chordal stuff). I'd love to dub in piano as well! Man, I need a recoding studio, now that I can mix, eh? ;)

I'll stop the torrent of thought from forming a much longer entry.
Off to YouTube, oh the magical YouTube.
Speaking of which, you MUST watch this!
