"Sayin' not worry..."

Don't you just love studying. I've ended up studying for my Humanities finals with my friend, Ivan, and we get the most interesting conversations started. When I found him in the study room in the library, he was looking out the window at all the city lights. You don't even have to talk to the kid for him to be going off on some thought tangent... I don't know that we really spent that much time talking about Humanities stuff for the class than we did talk about deeper thoughts from the material. I mean, how can you not think some brilliant stuff when you're talking about Plato and Aristotle?! We pretty much decided that most people are vapid and thoughtless, which is a shame. He said he's going to start a Renaissance Man club...or Humanities club so we can actually get intellectual types together to do stuff. One of the major points about ancient Greek culture that was in stark contrast with Roman culture and modern culture is that they depended a lot on COMMUNITY and not so much the "trapped in your personal sphere" that you get in big cities and most anywhere nowadays. I'd been thinking about that nigh constantly after the professor brought that up in one of his lectures. And Ivan agreed that we should go back to that Greek sense of community. I think that even introverts need a sense of community. And I told him my eureka moment where I discovered that the more technologically advanced we get, the more psychological disorders we develop. Think about it. It's so true.

I'm definitely going to ace my Humanities final tomorrow.

Cat Stevens is just one of those artists that you need to go back and revisit constantly, just like the Beatles.

And I guess I'm leaving officially to head back home on Tuesday night. >.< Eek! I dunno if I'm ready yet. Either in the packing sense or in the friends and social sense.

I want a circle of people to share classic Americana folk/early country music with. We can play acoustics and sing in harmonies. Maybe somebody can even pull out a harmonica. It'd be brilliant. I think that'd be my favorite way to manifest society and shared existence between people. I'm sick of this introverted world.
