Harry Potter Rocks

So Drake & I bit the bullet last night and hobbled over to the Regal for the midnight showing of Harry Potter, Goblet of Fire. We were a little hesitant about going, thinking it would be a madhouse crowd, no parking, lines for days, and we haven't had much luck with that theatre.

Last time we were there wqas for Constantine, which Drake got up three times in the middle of to go complain that it was too dark to see. They kept apologizing and telling him the would fix it. Only afterward when he was going to complain again, did he hear the same manager he'd been speaking with all along confess to another customer that the movie we had seen was actually supposed to be shown in the I-Max so there really was nothing they could do to fix it. I thought Drake was going to remove the guy's face from the front of his head and hand it to him, he was so mad! We ended up with three free movie tickets, (Tessa was with us)

That's not the only glitch we've had at that theatre. But in spite of past difficulties, this time seemed different. We found relatively easy parking, we got through the ticket purchase immidiately, with no wait, were about 15 people back from the door in the line and we got great seats. By the time it was all said and done and we were settled in for the show, we felt pretty self congratulatory.

The movie was awesome. Great special effects, great storyline that sticks pretty well to the book, great acting, great layers and undertones -- excellent cinematography. Well... the parts we saw that is. Seems there was a glitch about 15 minutes from the end. It took them awhile to fix, and ten, it picked up the movie at a place where we lost several minutes of stuff and went right to the end, plus they left the lights on for it so it was hard to see.

We got another set of free tickets for our trouble. Today is gonna be a long one until we are able to get to bed tonight.

Anyone up for a trip back to the Regal?
