New Solo for Cristina!
Cristina has a new solo, all her own. No f-up chorus to contend with and no dancers to distract from the song. Plus, the director finally remembered that Cristina is an alto ;) FWICT, Cristina did a very good job with Castle on a Cloud from Les Mis, and from that performance the musical director decided that Cristina is a soprano. Cristina isn't a true soprano, although she did okay with I Sing the Body Electric.
Cristina told me that the music and dance directors were discussing what song would be best for Cristina with the two high school interns, and Cristina had no say although she was there. Someone suggested that she sing something from Annie because she has red curly hair. She dodged that bullet though because the middle school produced Annie just last year and the director didn't want any songs from Annie in tihs review.

Cristina will sing "As Long as He Needs Me" from Oliver. Without the cockney accent, because, well, she doesn't have one. It's a *4 minute song* in her range. She is happy. I'm happy for her.
