RIP Lady Bird
Tony, Cristina & I went to bid Lady Bird Johnson farewell this morning. We parked with others along HWY 290, between Austin and Johnson City, west of Dripping Springs, bringing along our handfuls of Mountain Pink flowers. It was quite awesome and touching: awesome with the hundreds of police motorcycle escorts and knowing how many thousands of people were paying homage to her the same as we were, and touching because Luci and Lynda were waving to the crowds and mouthing thank you to us.
