I'm a lazy ass

I guess I haven't updated because...because every day just isn't worth writing about. Work, school, theatre, cats, boy, not in that order.

I am playing a 16 year old chubby Polish Catholic girl in my next play. I am only one of those things. Well, two if "girl" counts as character description. I am flattered to know that people think I could be 16. HA! The woman playing my mother asked me after we were cast, "How old are you REALLY?" and I said 25. She said, "Oh, honey! I was once you! The little 20 something playing the teenagers!" and I thought that was funny. Brian Z. said some super nice things about me at that audition, in front of another actor. Good ol' Brian Z. I've wanted a role in a show of his that allowed me to ACT instead of just be a bit player. I think this is the one. God knows I wasn't 16 when I was 16. "Over the Tavern" runs in May. I think it'll be quite good. Y'all come down and see it. I think I'll make kolaczkis for the cast.

Thought I was getting a cold and sucked down extra vitamins and tons of OJ and feel fine. Tired, but fine.

Got a new cat! A little fatso. Her name in her former life was Callie. What a white-trash, Wisconsin sounding name. I'm pushing for Kiskha, Polish for "sausage", because her favorite treat is doggy Snausages (TM). She is in isolation until we take her to the vet for the all clear. Donate to your local Humane Society. Or buy a cat, that's what we did.

My mother and Patrick's mother wondered why we were getting an additional cat. "Why don't you marry and get kids?!" Patrick's mother asked. *Gag, puke, vomit, shudder*. Because kids suck, and cats are awesome. And my mother's no one to talk; this is the woman who married the man with wall-to-wall fish tanks, the woman who adopted two canaries that had three babies, and loved all of them til the end, the woman who went to make a donation to the Humane Society and came home with two Shetland sheepdogs. Don't warn me against multiple pets, lady!

We're moving downstairs for serious this time. Hopefully by April 1st. Big plans for the downstairs, the garden, and the yard.  And porches. Also, Patrick just bought us a "Fantasy Forest" off of eBay. All will be invited over for Fantasy Forest, Munchkin, and wine.

50 degrees today. Makes you think maybe everything will be ooooook.

Worn out, pasty, hate my wardrobe. Reading Stephen King's "The Colorado Kid", Richard Simak's "City", and was just disappointed by Richard Bachman's "Blaze". Eh. His other early novellas were SO much better.

Taking off from school this semester to save money to go to school next semester. Thank you, G.W.'s useless stimulus!

Watching the economy fall. Hiding money in the mattress in preparation for Great Depression II.

And damn it, the Trash Family next door continues to randomly rip siding off their house and make no repairs. *Blech* What an eyesore.

And...that's it.
