Yesung sat at the computer keyboard, lost in thought. He was finding himself with more and more time on his hands as the various subgroups began their separate work after the promotions for their third album finished. It wasn't something he really enjoyed, being a sociable kind of guy (though annoyingly so, some of the others thought and told him on a regular basis even as they let him tag along; he knew they didn't really mean it but it still hurt sometimes) and he would do almost anything to stop from being bored.

Suddenly his phone rang and he glanced at the number, blinking at the name that came up on the display. Zhou Mi? Flipping it open, Yesung answered the call.

"Zhou Mi?" he asked, the curiousity overwhelming. "What's up? Aren't you supposed to be recording for your new album?"

"Hi Yesung," came Zhou Mi's cheerful reply, "I've finished. For now, anyway. I just wondered..." He trailed off, the uncertainty plain. "I was hoping you wanted to come out with me today?"

Yesung couldn't help but ask, the skepticism in his voice. "Why me? Why not Hankyung, or Heechul, or Kyuhyun? Aren't you closer to them?" he asked, wondering why, of all people Zhou Mi could choose to hang out with, he'd pick Yesung for the dubious priviledge.

"But that's exactly why," Zhou Mi explained patiently. "I want to get to know you. To become closer to you too. One can never have too many friends, after all." Yesung could practically hear the smile oozing down the phone line. "I thought maybe we could go to the amusement arcade. I've heard from Kyuhyun that they have a new game out and I want to try it. That is...unless you want to do something else?" he finished nervously.

Chuckling to himself at how cute Zhou Mi was when he was enthusiastic about things, Yesung figured that it couldn't hurt. After all, hadn't he just been thinking about how bored he was? Anything had to be better than sitting around waiting for inspiration to hit, or worse, doing nothing at all.

"Ok," Yesung finally replied, figuring he'd made Zhou Mi wait long enough for his answer. "Where do you want to meet up?"

"Oh, I'm already here. Standing outside the door of your dorm," Zhou Mi replied in the same bright and sunny tone as he'd been using with Yesung for the entire conversation. Surprised, Yesung went to check the intercom and sure enough, there was Zhou Mi, grinning back at him on the monitor.

"You're scary, you know that, don't you?" Yesung said to Zhou Mi as he let the younger man in, staring at him with a mixture of awe and annoyance. Pulling on his shoes, he grabbed his keys from the hook by the door and snickering at Zhou Mi, pulled the younger man back out the door again.

"Let's try the arcade first, then we can see from there, shall we?" he smiled for the first time that day, feeling somewhat more cheerful than he had in a while. Yesung was well aware that he could be moody but it was inevitable that around the infinitely cheerful Zhou Mi, one couldn't help but be cheerful too. It was a sad day when even Zhou Mi was down.

They hit the arcade, Yesung surprising Zhou Mi with his gaming skills and even winning a few before they headed out to a nearby mall for something to eat. Eventually settling on some ramen, they chatted amiably as they ate.

"I really enjoy watching you sing," Zhou Mi admitted to Yesung, startling the older man into speechlessness. "There's just something about you..."

"Ah...thanks," Yesung replied, not really sure what to say to that. He hadn't been aware that Zhou Mi even followed the main group, or KRY, for that matter. "I like your voice too. It's really strong and powerful..."

Blushing, Zhou Mi's smile widened. "Thanks. I practice a lot. It's not easy...." he said, finishing the last of his ramen and waiting for Yesung. "I'll go pay..."

"No, let me," Yesung replied insistently, reaching for the slip of paper that was the bill. "I'm the hyung and it's my responsibility..."

"Ok," Zhou Mi said cheerfully and Yesung couldn't help but feel like he'd just been conned into paying, glancing at Zhou Mi with suspicion. It wasn't helped by the little snicker the younger man gave when he realised Yesung knew he'd been had, but Yesung found that he didn't actually mind it, coming from Zhou Mi. The man didn't have a malicious bone in his body and it was a refreshing change.

Walking back to the block of flats, Yesung found Zhou Mi glancing at him from time to time with a strange speculative expression on his face and wondered what was going on inside the younger man's mind. He wasn't going to pry, though that went against his naturally curious (the others called it 'nosy') nature; he was still a bit hesitant where Zhou Mi was concerned as the young Chinese man was still an unknown to him despite the time they'd just spent together.

At the door to his dorm, Yesung turned to Zhou Mi, his mouth open to say something when Zhou Mi surprised him with a gentle kiss, pressing him against the wall beside the door. "I've been dying to do that all day," he said breathlessly when he finally pulled back, his eyes somewhat glazed over. "I really like you..."

Yesung stared at Zhou Mi, unable to process what had just happened. "Why am I the girl?" he demanded suddenly, causing Zhou Mi to laugh despite the situation.

"You could always kiss me instead," he suggested slyly, giving a little 'oof' when Yesung did just that, pressing him into the wall and kissing him senseless.

"Now we're even," Yesung grinned in triumph, pulling Zhou Mi into the dorm with him then kissing him again. "And I'm not the girl...."

"Obviously you're not the girl," a new voice startled both men, Zhou Mi's arm sneaking around Yesung's waist as they turned to greet Kyuhyun who had come into the dorm from work. "That's Zhou Mi all over. You know he sleeps with that huge Hello Kitty plushie, don't you?"

Kyuhyun grinned at them both cheekily as Zhou Mi protested.

"Donghae sleeps with his stuffed toys too, and you don't call him a girl," Zhou Mi sputtered, his face flushing with embarrassment.

"Donghae...is special," Kyuhyun replied with a smirk, kicking off his shoes and going to his room, his low chuckle making Zhou Mi and Yesung laugh together. Kyuhyun had to have the last word. "And he is the girl in his relationships too. Just ask Eunhyuk and Kibum both...."
