Yes, I've finally done it here too. This journal is going friends-only. Comment here to be added but please keep a few things in mind before you click that 'reply' button.
1. If you're a spambot controller, or don't update your journal in like...ever. (ie no posts), then don't bother. Not interested in a huge f-list of people who don't communicate with me or with anyone else in a meaningful way. Sorry if that makes me sound elitist or bitchy but there you have it. I do unannounced cuts from time to time so if you don't interact with me (and it doesn't have to be here. Can be on Twitter, Tumblr, DreamWidth, wherever) and find yourself cut, then sorry. I'm looking for friends, not stalkers.
2. I mix both RL and fandom here and occasionally post rants, angry/sad posts, or x-post from my DreamWidth account. If you can't handle the amount of personal stuff on here, then I don't think there's any point, do you? I don't mean to sound bitchy about this either but I'm tired of having ppl say 'you're too damned depressing' and then de-friend. Best to save ourselves a lot of trouble beforehand and not bother.
3. Please try to make some effort to get to know me if you want to be my friend. I really do mean 'FRIENDS' on this journal. I don't want people I can't trust here since this includes personal information about me and my family, not just fandom stuff. If you're just here for the fanfiction, there's no point in friending me since I won't be locking anything. (I don't write graphic smut outside of the occasional RPs with friends so...) Likewise, most memes and fun posts are open to all.
4. Do comment here and let me know who you are, and if we have anything in common. I'm not asking for your lifestory or anything. Just if you are a like-minded fan who's willing to take the time to get to know me as a person too.
