Loving my new cookbook

I decided to buy a new cookbook with the start of the farm share so I am not scrabling to figure out how to use all the vegetables each week.   I got it on Friday night and so far I have made two dishes inspired by (cause we all know I can't follow a recipe)  It is called ( Read more... )

There are a bunch of interesting recipes there. Honestly I'd never heard of this veggie, but it sounds tasty :)

Sadly, my wife and her brother were traumatized by horrid low quality canned veggies as kids and now eschew them pretty much wherever possible (THough Michelle will eat various forms of lettuce if you put things like nuts and berries in it to make it tasty for her :)

Andrea Chesman is also the author of one of my favorite cookbooks, entitled "Salsas!". I definitely will have to check out this one, too!

My mom always grew kohlrabi. You can use it anyway you might use the stem of broccoli. My favorite way is to cut it into slices to use like chips for dip.
