Further to this post about the Books for Free shop in Welwyn Garden City, the formal opening/launch is this coming Friday (23rd November) morning, at the new store in WGC. Nothing online yet, but various posters on the notice boards around the town - I saw this on the one at Sainsbury's.

Well, was listening to the Dundee United vs. Celtic match this lunchtime, listening via Arabzone's own commentary  and watching the video stream via Sky online. After popping into WGC to meet John Bull (publicity columnist for The London Bus magazine by LOTS) for coffee (and to hand over some leaflets I found!) I went back out for a bite to eat before heading home. Morrison’s had a van out in Stonehills offering vouchers for their newly refurbished store in Panshanger, and flowers - free. Something caught my eye when I was out for some random jobs in the week - post office, cheques and messages. However, it was one worth coming back for!  Books for Free is a charity project of Healthy Planet, who (in short) take books heading for landfill to give away, as well as donated books and media of every genre.
