please read all the notes before reading this fic

Title: Sand and Sea (Part I)
fandom: One Piece
pairing: Crocodile x Kairi
Rated: M or MA (about 16+)
Warnings: contains explicit language and graphic sexual themes
Additional Notes: Story takes place in an AU (it's not part of Kairi's actual storyline. A fic of a fic if you will) and before Baroque Works- since it's an AU their ages are the same in this fic as they are currently (Kairi is 19 and Crocodile is 44) though if it was going by the real storyline they would be several years younger if it took place pre-Baroque Works. (by the way the title is very boring because I couldn't think of anything)

The slave shop was small and cramped making it almost more humid inside than it was outside in the desert. The store owner was a grimy, sunburned, ugly little man with beady eyes. His body looked disproportionate though in a way that you couldn’t quite put you finger on where exactly and many of his teeth were rotten.

Crocodile hated having to deal with these kind of people- classless small time criminals. They were simple minded weaklings doing whatever work they could find to earn a dishonest living. Truly the filth of the world. They weren’t completely without their uses however. They were always eager for any kind of work and easily intimidated. They were unreliable though and couldn’t be expected to do any sort of job that required even an ounce of tact or skill. As canon fodder they were fine. It was important to have power in numbers after all.

“I only sell girls- in these parts they’re usually in higher demand. I have dancers, maids… anything you’d like.” the rat like man went on.
Crocodile blew cigar smoke out of the corner of his mouth. He was bored already. It wasn’t like he needed a slave but it was one of those things that was more important as a symbol of luxury than any real neccessity. To be able to own a slave- to have complete control over a human being… well it was something he was already experienced with when dealing with underlings who all feared him. He was curious anyway, even though now that he was there he had the feeling he’d grow tired of anything he bought and discard her rather quickly.

Still ignoring the shop owner’s futile chattering Crocodile ran his eyes over the row of cages that went across the length of the shop. They were only slightly larger than those used to hold dogs. Too low for any human to be able to stand up in and too short to lie down in. The majority of the girls were wearing different variations of Alabastian harem type outfits- midriff tops and long skirts of thin fabrics starting just below their hips. They also all wore a small collar on their neck with a chain attatched- the infamously effective exploding neck ring.

The shop keeper rapped his fist on the side of one of the closer cages, making the girl inside cry out in surprise and huddle as far as she could into the corner of her cell. “These ones closer to the front are all new- freshly caught Alabastian girls.” he explained with a rotten smile. Crocodile looked them over from where he stood. All of them looked terrified and one or two were curled up in a ball, sobbing quietly. One flinched as he flicked his cigarette ash on the ground next to her. He didn’t think he wanted to have to deal with them.

“…and the others?” he asked, following the shop keeper further down the line of cages.
“These are all ‘imported goods’” he explained “I have a friend who runs cargo ships that travel from the new world and back. Human trafficking is quite common in the Sabaody Archipelago particularly. It’s not very surprising considering it’s ideal location- a short distance from Marijoa where most of their important customers reside and also close to Fishman Island. Mermaids and fishmen are always a rare but much sought after item.”

He stepped closer to these cages, peering into them apathetically. These women weren’t as jumpy as the others. They still looked miserable and afraid but much more resigned to their fate. There was a girl with short black hair who looked at him briefly before quickly flicking her eyes back to the floor. A pale blond haired girl blinked at him lazily. He stopped when he looked into a pair of black eyes that were staring at right back into his own boldly. The face and the girl that came with them was pretty enough- she had brown hair and an almost text book example of a “hot body” thin (perhaps a little too thin) but with curves in all of the right places. She didn’t break eye contact from him nor did her expression change at all…. if she even had an expression. Her eyebrows were slanted downward slightly and the corners of her lips tugged more down than up but such subtle displays were hardly a sign of any emotion. It was only after he’d held her gaze for a few moments that he realized the shop keeper had started talking to him again.

“… about 600,000 beri and that includes the exploding collar.” he was saying.
“Fine.” Crocodile interrupted him, reluctantly breaking her stare and turning to the man. He took a thick stack of beri and counted out 60k. The shop owner accepted it greedily and licked his lips repulsively as he recounted it, fingers shaking. After pocketing it he took out a ring of keys and fumbled through them until he found two that he was looking for. He removed one and handed it to Crocodile.

“The key to her collar.” he explained briefly and opened the door to the cage. It all happened within a matter of moments. The door swung open with a creak and like a bat out of hell the girl shot forward, ramming herself against the shop keeper with great force and knocking him to the ground. She quickly turned and attempted to punch Crocodile in the stomach but he caught her fist in his hand so she swung her leg at his head and would’ve landed quite a blow… if his head hadn’t dissintegrated into sand on impact. She stepped back, still calm but a bit of surprise or maybe just dismay in her eyes as she realized her escape plan was done for now. Still she had fight and before Crocodile’s head had completely returned to the way it was before she once again tried to punch him, making a sand hole in his stomach and used it as a distraction to snatch the key from his hand and run around him.

Crocodile sighed, unfazed by any of her attacks, at her pitifully futile attempts. Only a few steps away he didn’t bother moving and instead merely lifted his arm and turned the end to sand, allowing his hook to fly forward disembodied and catch her around the neck, pulling her backwards and pinning her against the wall opposite him. The edge of his hook stuck deep into the wall, holding her firmly against it despite her half hearted struggles against the suffocating force.

The shop owner stood up now, wheezing, the wind knocked out of him. “Little… cunt!” he managed to sputter as he leaned against the wall for support.

Crocodile once again looked her in the eyes. She was choking from the weight of his hook against her throat holding her down but aside from a very minor twitch of struggle or discomfort in her face there was only a small bit more life in her eyes now. He detected no fear or surprise even- not even anger or resentment that her plans had worked against her. Again he found himself in a staring contest with her and it almost frustrated him that she was so impossible to read. He was probably overthinking things. Probably she was just stupid.

He turned to the shop owner and laughed, “She’s unexpectedly lively.”

Turning back to the girl he took her wrist in his hand, holding up the fist in which she tightly held the key to her collar. He tried half heartedly to pry her fingers open but she stubbornly only dug them deeper into her palm. Crocodile frowned, looking her in the eye seriously and strengthening his grip on her wrist as he smiled menacingly. “Be a good girl and give me the key.” he said smoothly. There was no need to raise his voice- the fact that he didn’t only seemed to show how more powerful he was. Her face was completely expressionless, her eyes dead and unreadable but finally she slowly uncurled her fist, the small key resting in her palm. Crocodile took it and placed it in a pocket of his coat.

“Thank. you.” he said, a twisted smile on his face.
A twitch of a rather contemptuous smile flickered across her lips as she said with some difficulty, “You’re welcome.”
He removed his hook from the wall and returned it in a small dusting of sand back to his arm, letting her drop to the floor. Before she had a chance to stand up again the shop owner punched her hard in the face.

“Ah ha! Stupid bitch! You thought you could escape huh?!” he crowed laughing heartily like a buffoon.

The girl turned her head towards him, her cheek slightly red where he’d hit her and looked him dead in the face. The corner of her lips were slightly pulled more down than up and her eyebrows were competely neutral. There were no give away signs on her features and yet her eyes seemed threatening. Almost like a silent warning and despite the fact she was nothing but a thin young woman Crocodile could see why it might be unnerving to have that look directed at you. Sure enough the shop owner lost his high and mighty attitude instantly.

The girl turned her head away again and laughed shortly. dryly. “You’re right. Just my luck to get picked by someone with a devil fruit ability.” she said, looking back up at Crocodile, a small, smug, smile gracing her lips for a moment and her eyes flashing with a challenging sort of mischief. She stood up dusting herself off and walked next to him.

“I’ll come quietly now,” she said liltingly, a practically sarcastic contrast to her previous behaviour.

They stepped out into the heat of the Sandora desert. The sun was still high in the sky and it was mercilessly bright out. The F-Wani he’d arrived in was waiting patiently to take them back to Rainbase.

The ride was mostly silent. Kairi seemed to make herself at home lounging on the leather seats on the F-Wani and closing her eyes. Crocodile took the opportunity to closer examine her. She was fair skinned though not pale and her hair fell down to her chest- naturally straight but a bit messy. She was quite thin- her arms and fingers were almost boney on closer inspection. The chain from her neck trailed down, almost invisible where it fell between her breasts- pushed together by the tight harem shirt which also showed a substancial amount of her cleavage. He watched as he lit a cigar as her full, shapely breasts rose and fell slightly with her breaths, slowly lowering his eyes to the flat slope of her stomach and her narrow waist. Then where the top of her skirt lay below her hips- revealing the slight curve of her hip bone. He exhaled a puff of smoke thinking to himself that her looks left nothing to be desired. There was a slit in the side of her skirt and he eased his hand up it, pulling some of the fabric out of the way as he slipped his hand under her thigh, lifting her leg slightly to fully admire it- slender, smooth, shapely. He blew smoke out of the corner of his mouth once more and looked up to her face. She’d opened her eyes now- awoken by his touch- but had stayed silent. She was just watching him, with the same mysterious sly smile she’d worn on her face before. He couldn’t quite tell but it seemed to him she was almost impressed by how easily he’d foiled her escape plan. Like he’d gained her respect and a bemused interest.

He wordlessly removed the simple sandal on her foot, tossing it to the floor and holding her delicate foot in his hand for a moment, pressing his thumb into the arch before sliding it up her leg which she bent for him gracefully.

Crocodile thought she was enough to keep him entertained for the moment but he had a feeling he would get sick of her in due time. His only thought was that it would be a sad waste to have to turn such a perfect body into a corpse, as his hand found the thin seam of her panties against her hip and he slid his finger under it.

“Admiring your purchase?” she asked, cocking an eyebrow slightly, maintaining her cool smile.

Crocodile pressed his lips against her knee, tasting her sweet, smooth, skin with the tip of his tongue. “You could say that.”

She sat up, leaning forward and easing his hand away from her waist and bringing it up to cup her breasts as she brought her face to his neck, gently nipping his jaw before whispering in his ear, “well do you like what you see….?”

He glimpsed around her- Rainbase was coming into view. He pushed her away lightly and faced forward again.

“We’re coming into the city.” he explained shortly. As the F-wani rode through the streets, passing citizens going about their business on the way to Rain Dinners the girl sat obediently still next to him.

Crocodile loosened his cravat a bit and turned his eyes towards her. “Do you have a name?” he inquired.

She also looked back at him out of the corner of her eye and briefly responded, “Kairi.”
He chuckled, relighting his cigar. “Good. It’s short and easy to remember.”

“And you are?” she asked (a bit rudely).

He leaned back, relaxing in his seat as he smoked. “Sir Crocodile. Of the Shichibukai.” he tried to catch a glimpse of her face- any reaction but there was none.

“Would ‘Crocodile-sama’ be appropriate or does ‘Sir Crocodile’ sound better?” she asked emotionlessly.

He lead her through the back door of Rain Dinners, to his office.

“This is my casino and my base here in Alabasta.” he explained as she looked around with mild curiosity. Kairi walked up to the window that showed his pet Bananawani swimming past. Pressing her face up to the glass she stared at them for a moment before turning to him and with a serious tone asked, “You have pet bananas?”

He stared back at her for a second not sure how he should take the question. Was she joking? It sure didn’t seem like it.

“….No. They’re called Bananawani. They’re a type of alligator.” She stared back at him, her face still so serious after asking such a riduculous question that it almost felt awkward to look at her. “…they prey on Sea Kings.” Crocodile added uselessly. She stared again before slowly turning back to the tank.

“….’type of alligator’…?” she repeated quietly to herself before looking back to him severely, “Are you sure?”

“…yes I’m su-“

“Because it seems like it’s a type of banana.”

Was she joking? She had to be joking. She certainly hadn’t seemed quite this stupid. But she looked so serious….

“They have a banana shaped growth on the top of their heads so that’s where they get the name.” he said in a half hearted attempt to convince her that she was wrong.

She shook her head looking back to the tank. “No… It’s definitely a banana with an alligator hanging off the end of it.”

The room was silent and finally Crocodile just sighed uncomfortably. “Enough. Let’s go.” he said walking away, and tugging on her chain to encourage her to follow him.

He hung up his coat as he walked into his house in Rain Dinners- it was rather small but comfortable and fournished lavishly. He sat down on one of the leather couches in the center of the room and took a few drags of his cigar in silence before turning his gaze back to Kairi who was looking around.

“Oi.” he grunted, tugging at her chain and pulling her closer. They looked at eachother in silence and he wordlessly grinded his cigar into the ashtray beside him and began unbuckling his belt. He watched her, waiting for any change in her eyes, in her face but there was none. Not a single hint to give away any emotions. And she looked him straight in the eye without flinching. Supposedly looking into someone’s eyes can reveal their feelings but this wasn’t the case with this girl. Her eyes were black and dead- like staring into pure darkness.

She broke away from his stare to move closer to him, sitting on the floor between his legs she smoothly leaned forward and without hesitation took his cock in her hands and began massaging him slowly, pressing her thumbs gently against him as she ran her hands up and down the length of his member until he was stiff. She glanced up at him briefly as if looking for approval- an ever so subtle quirk of her eyebrow was the only indication. He gave her no response so she continued. Now that he was fully hard she opened her mouth- for the briefest moment he could feel her warm breath on the most sensitive part of his body and it sent shivers down his spine. She swirled her tongue around his head once before plunging his entire cock into her mouth. He grit his teeth and smirked as he felt himself in her throat. Her moist mouth encompassing his whole dick. She knew what she was doing. It felt good. Kairi’s soft lips all the way at the base of his cock, her tongue stroking him in just the right way. She sucked and pulled back enough to let her lips slide across his length before taking him completely again.

Crocodile knew he was almost at his limit but it felt too good. He held back, gritting his teeth and grabbing a handful of her hair more for support than anything else- there was no need to guide her or force her deeper, she was handling that fine already. His fingers curled tightly into her silky tresses as his own lips parted in a silent moan that he choked back as she began moving a bit faster with shallower thrusts. She placed her hand against his inner thigh, her fingers squeezing down slightly as he once again felt her throat bumping into him.

He could feel it building up, painful almost from holding back so long. He slipped his hook around the back of her neck to pull her forward more and make sure she swallowed as he came. She only sucked harder as if encouraging the flow of cum into her throat and swallowed it all, he could feel the muscles of her throat moving, pushing against his dick.

He let out a deep breath as he relaxed back against the couch, releasing his grip from the back of her head and allowing her to pull away. She did, silently, and caught a drop of cum on her lip with her tongue as he zipped up his pants. He chuckled, a little out of breath to be honest. “You’re quite good.” which was putting it lightly, “maybe you can be of some use to me after all.”

Love comments that are NICE. If you have criticism keep it to yourself 'cause I'm a bum. :DD
