A typical instance of the relationship I have with my sister: tonight as I was studying GRE vocabulary words, she was shooting can and bottle targets with a Daisy Red Ryder out in the yard. I eventually noticed that she was having way more fun than I was, so I decided to try it too. After she showed me how to do it, I took a shot. This garnered my dad's interest, especially because I nearly hit a birdhouse, and the birds in our yard are his unofficial pets. Now even though it looked like to me that I was shooting right at the target, he told me that I was shooting way above it.
So I adjusted and shot again.
I hit the water bottle!
As dad and Sarah congratulated me, I thought it was only fair to tell them that I was, in truth, aiming for the can. I gave it back to Sarah and she knocked out all the targets one by one: I was jealous and decided to come back in and watch the Spelling Bee.
