lol great game of magic today! mihir and I were playing. i'd chipped his life down to 13 with a Civic Wayfinder, Golgari Brownscale, and Rotwurm and traded with four of his creatures before laying down a Woebringer Demon which brought him to 9. Then he used his Thoughtpicker to clean his board to make me sac the woebringer. Between an earlier induced paranoia shambling shell, dredging the brownscale (saced to the woebringer) and shell back a couple times, and a psychic drain for 7, i was soon down to 3 cards (he was at 4, taking some off the shell and brownscale although he had a stasis cell on my brownscale, slowing me down. then he gained 7 from the drain). Looks like I'm gonna get milled, with only about 3 power on the board. I had a Putrefy, but i couldn't kill my brownscale then dredge to get the stasis cell of because I didn't have the cards.
I topdeck... a Goliath Spider! Putrefy the blocker he top-decked, swung for 7, bringing him down to 4. Mihir moved the stasis cell to the spider, but i played the mossdog i just topdecked to combine with my about - to - untap Brownscale (with a counter from shambling shell) for a total of 6 power. Mihir topdecks the most bro-ken card evah... an island lol.. which of course does nothign for him. I draw my last card (a forest) and swing for the win. With zero cards left in my library. wow what was a close one! if he drew a creature instead of land he would have been able to block one of my guys and I wouldn't have been able to get that last 1 damage in! Or if he milled one turn later I wouldn't have had the Goliath Spider. what an awesome game!
lol... watching kung fu hustle again! such a great, funny, and action-filled movie! with the corny touching ending and all
