It is a thousand watt smile Kibum gave while casually leaned his body against the doorframe, legs crossed and stare fixed on DongHae’s awkward moving around the kitchen. The breakfast time is over and Hankyung is on his schedule and for his misfortune DongHae woke up too late to get any breakfast. That’s why he is trying to make something eatable what somehow don’t seem to go anywhere. He isn’t here for long and DongHae already feels nervous.
He would rather go and break something than just successfully do anything when Kibum watches. But Kibum didn’t seem to get hints he gives and so finally he looks helplessly at the cupboard in front of him and back at Kibum who seems to want to tease him. DongHae looks down, hiding in advance for possible blush that could appear if he does.
DongHae hears him moving, lightly picking up bread, knife, starting to cut, prepare. He doesn’t believe his eyes, but Kibum’s back is facing him, body busily moving. And sounds are proving that. DongHae could believe himself even less as besides his already empty cup lays two (almost) perfect sandwiches.
“Thanks,” he mutters.
“No problem. Next time simply ask.” Kibum answers, turns around gracefully and walks out of kitchen.

DongHae walked in his room after his schedule is over and singed the last song he heard, while passing living room, under his breath. His eyes fall on bed where something red was laying.
Roses.
Three red roses.
Three beautiful red roses.
He made an expression like a confused puppy while trying to figure out how they ended up in his bed. It didn’t take long until he processed that there is only one person who would do such a thing and right now he felt this person’s presence in room.
“Hannie.” he flung around delightedly already grinning from ear to ear.
“Happy birthday.” Hankyung almost whispered, happy of what he saw in DongHae’s eyes, while they were busy staring in each other eyes.
Finally Donghae felt like it is his birthday.
No worries then, he is loved.
And there was a brief pause of something more than words, of their heartbeats and love.
