I got back to San Diego at 10:30 last night. Time in San Francisco went by way too fast. We had a lot fun though. After Thursday me and Kathleen went to this Art Deco exhibit at the Legion of Honor cuz we're cultured like that. I love her cuz we can do everything together and always have fun. We went from being very intellectual observing art deco pieces circa the 1920s - 30s to playing on the swings and acting like 5 year olds. I pretended to be a retarded kid and pushed Kathleen on the swing. She pretended to be an innocent and oblivious kindergartner. I know it sounds kind of sick here in print but hilarity ensued. So much fun crammed into a weekend.
We saw Saved! and Napoleon Dynamite because when one is in San Francisco one must do as the San Franciscans do and see semi-independent art-house flicks. They were both really funny and enjoyable though. I would see either one again and then buy it on DVD... if only I had money. It's great to be the only two people in a theatre who are laughing their heads off while everyone else eats their popcorn in silence. Aww I'm getting all misty-eyed remembering everything. I really do need to live in San Francisco, it's my bloodstream now and i need more of it. So I'm gonna see if I can go for the Fourth of July and live it up with my hgff.
I got my dad a book for Dad's day. All the Pretty Horses. I had to read it in English class and I always thought he'd dig it since he's been on this cowboy trip for awhile and it's a really good book.
The more I listen to the new Modest Mouse the more I like it. It's not cool to hate just cuz a band finally gets some recognition. This is the position I've come to after spending a good amount time being bitter and throwing around the word "sell-out". It's a good album.
Kathleen got me a silver promise ring on Haight Street and it is now my most prized possession. It's fun to twirl it and daydream about being with Kathleen in San Francisco. (Also it has magical powers). Now we both have rings and when they combine sparks fly. Aww love. Oh, and Kathleen got her belly button repierced and it looks really cute. Like a fairynymphpixie. She didn't even flich either, but I think she was showing off for the cute piercer/tatoo artist.
I had to get up at 5 in the morning today to go to a field trip in La Jolla for my Marine Biology class today. It sucked to get up, but wasnt that bad once we got there. We went to the tide pools and saw sea slugs that shot purpleness, crabs that molted, and an endangered abalone. My professor started stripping unexpectedly in the middle of the field trip. He proceeded to get in a deep tide pool and lift a huge rock. I wasn't really paying attention at the time either so when i looked up it woke me from semi-conscious to fully aware. He had swimming trunks on underneath but still... he's like 80. We have a big test in there on Wednesday but I have a feeling it will be pretty painless.
It sucks to wake up alone now. It didnt youst (sp/is that even a word?) to bother me but now it makes me sad in the morning. But at least i can smell your pillow. (love you)
Now I will go get new glasses frames. Right after Star Trek. HAH!
