Summary: Yuto being a little bit jealous of his boyfriend whenever he is around other people starts to believe that maybe his Keito is cheating on him. With who else? But Hikaru of course.

Everything was going great for Yuto Nakajima, he had his spot in the group, he was the drummer of the band and he was also the tallest and the coolest-in his opinion-to be around. Not only that, he was allowed to miss school for work reasons and catch up on it later, and to make it better he got to spend almost all of his time with his sweet and innocent but totally manly and muscular Keito.

It all changed though, as things do in relationships when things start becoming too comfortable for a couple, one of them usually starts wondering when the bad thing is going to happen, for Keito, that thought never crossed his mind, he was perfectly fine with the situation he was in, the late night sessions with JUMP and being with Yuto everyday was great. For Yuto, on the other hand, the late night sessions with the JUMP band was just brutal, for his Keito had to work so closely with Hikaru that it almost killed him every time.

Yuto had never been a super jealous person, he’s usually upbeat and outgoing but in this particular situation it became a different story. Especially since Keito and Hikaru would run out to get coffee for everyone together or when they would need to practice outside of the band to get a certain sound. But Keito would always return with a smile and a cheery kiss on the lips with Yuto for when they returned. It was a way to say ‘yeah I’m still here sorry for leaving’. It was always sweet and sensual and it always made the other members of JUMP sigh wishfully.

On this particular day though, Keito came back from getting coffee with Hikaru and he didn’t give Yuto his hello kiss. That was clue number one. The second clue came on the same day when Hikaru and Keito went off together to practice, but didn’t take their instruments with them. That made Yuto a little angry but he kept it to himself. The third hint of the day was when they were already to leave and Keito decided to walk with Yabu, Hikaru and Inoo home, a totally different direction from which he lives and no particular reason was explained.

“Something is bothering you today.”

“Thanks Yama-chan I didn’t notice,” Yuto said sarcastically. “I’m sorry.”

“It’s fine, I’ll let it slide...this time. What’s up?”

“Nothing really, I just think Keito and I have hit a rough patch in our relationship.”

“Why do you think that?”

“He didn’t kiss me once today! And he barely said no more than six words to me all day!” Yuto told his best friend. “I also haven’t received a mail from him in three days!”

“Ouch, is he mad at you? Did you do something wrong?”

“No I don’t think so.” Yuto answered and then a wave of jealousy came over him. “Do you think he could be, I don’t know seeing something else?”

“Why in the world would you think that?”

“I don’t know it just crossed my mind. He’s too nice to let me down gently right? He’d lie straight to my face if it meant not hurting me right?”

“I guess but Keito is like that with everybody...”

“Exactly, who would notice if there was a change in his behaviour. I don’t know why but I think there is someone else. And it breaks my heart to say it too!”

“Yuto, you need to stop right now!” Yamada shook his friend. “Listen to me, Keito loves you; he’d never cheat on you, not in a million years!”

“I don’t know about that Yama-chan, there are signs.”

“Then let’s watch for them together, tomorrow.” Yamada said as they came to a cross roads in their walk home. Yamada would take one direction and Yuto would take the other.

“Thanks. I’ll see you later.” Yuto walked down his path not knowing that his best friend stood there and watched him until he was out of sight.

“Yuto, silly Yuto, who put those thoughts in your head. I think I need to talk with a BEST member. Maybe they can help me.” Yamada said as he walked the last few seconds of his friend’s back, then he thought again. “Maybe not.”

Tomorrow was another day of hell for Yuto. Keito said no words to him the whole day and spent it almost entirely with Yabu, Hikaru and Inoo. Whenever someone was walking by they could be heard talking about the newest song, but then why wasn’t Yuto allowed in the conversation? Drums are one of the most important parts to an entire song but he was not allowed to join their conversation and when he tried it was stared upon with indifferent looks. But maybe he was just imagining it, at least that’s what Yamada said. Yuto was being paranoid and imagining these things. But Yuto knew, in his heart, that there was something wrong with his relationship with Keito.

Just as they were about to leave for the day, Yuto grabbed Keito and dragged him out and into a deserted hall way. Keito having said no words to Yuto all day was confused but expecting it at the same time. “Something wrong Yuto?”

“Something wrong? Something wrong? You haven’t said more than nine words to me in the past three days and you ask ME if there is something wrong?” Yuto was upset now. “What is going on?”

“I don’t know, you dragged me over here.”

“Keito, I meant with us. What is going on? Why aren’t you responding to my calls or mails? You haven’t kissed me in a few days and nor have you walked me home to spend time together. I hear from the other members that you four are practicing for the JUMP band but that includes me too! I’m the drummer! What is going on?”

“I think you’re being paranoid. I need to go practice now. Calm down first and then we can talk later.” Keito tried to walk away but only got about five steps.

“No I don’t want to talk later! Tell me here and now.” Yuto still tried to talk.

Keito stopped, “Tell you what?”

“Are you cheating on me?”  Yuto asked straight out. Keito didn’t turn around. “It’s a Yes or No question; there is no thinking about it.”

“Yuto, I don’t know where this is coming from or why you even thought that I would do that to you but you’re paranoid and I’m not going to stand here and listen to that talk!”

“So it’s a yes then.” Yuto answered for him. “Everyone thinks that you’re too nice to do anything like that to me. But I think that you’d lie to someone’s face to not see them upset.”

“I’m not talking to you about this right now Yuto, you’re being crazy, paranoid and many other things that I don’t care to describe right now. I’ll be at your house tonight after I’m done practice alright, ten o’clock, I promise. I’ll be there.” Keito walked away leaving a very distraught Yuto in his wake, he didn’t even wait for an answer.

At ten o’clock, Yuto was in his living room pacing back and forth waiting for Keito to show. Not having an answer from him was driving him up the wall. But ten o’clock passed then ten thirty, and then eleven and still no Keito. The lights in his house were off and his family members had already gone to bed but still no Keito. Midnight passed and there was no sign of life on his street. He checked his phone a million times for a sign of a mail but the only thing he received were messages from Yamada checking up on him and to see if Keito had showed. Eventually the messages from Yamada stopped and Yuto waited.

He waited and waited, not falling asleep or anything just staring, his mother had woken up for the day and told him to skip the day and go to bed. She was worried for her son, especially since he wouldn’t tell her the reason as to why he stayed up all night. It wasn’t logical and it wasn’t healthy at all. Yuto did as told and spent the rest of the day in bed. Crying mostly.

When the doorbell rang at 3:30, it was his mother who let in the guest. Yuto wanted it to be Keito so bad but it wasn’t, not even close. Nowhere in the ballpark. No it was Yamada. “I came to check up on you.”

“I figured.” Yuto sniffled.

“Are you alright?” Yamada asked his friend while sitting on the end of the bed.

“He didn’t show up.”

“I know. But he was really worried today when you didn’t show either. He was almost frantic that you had done something stupid.”

“I wouldn’t do that.” Yuto told his friend off. “He didn’t mail me at all to see how I was, none of you did as a matter of fact.”

“But I came here.” Yamada protested.

“I know and for that I thank-you, but I think it’s about the only good news I’m going to receive today.”

“Yeah that’s the other thing I came here for. I needed you to know, but I had to tell you in person.”

“What would that be? Are my suspicions confirmed?”

“Uh...Yeah.”

“Hikaru?”

“Yeah... how did you know?”

“I’m observant Yama-chan, whether I look like it or not. I’m not an idiot.”

“Are you alright though? I mean if I leave you’re not going to go do something drastic?”

“No. Just give Keito a message for me. I won’t be speaking to him. Oh and Hikaru too.”

/\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\

The next day Yamada handed pieces of paper to Hikaru and Keito saying that they were from Yuto.  “He won’t be coming to work or school for a few days and would like no visitors as well.” Yamada told the others. “He’s going through some things right now and would like to deal with them on his own.”

No one would ever know what Yuto wrote to either member for they kept it entirely to their selves. Yuto showed up to work a few days later and things almost became normal again, except this time the couple was Keito and Hikaru and not Keito and Yuto. Yuto was not happy about it, and that was evident on his face but he did the best he could to be normal around the people who helped him.

“Hey Yama-chan,” Yuto said as they were walking home, together, the first time in almost a week.

“Yeah?”

“Thanks for helping me these million and one years. I’m a Fool no More.”

“You’re still a fool, just an honest one. And You’re Welcome.”
