10 4 song fic challenge: I've always wanted to try this and it was going great until I stopped writing cause I didn't want to anymore. But I was proud of what I had written so I decided to post it anyway, is that allowed?
1. Falling; Iration
The music was loud and everyone around you was dancing to the band playing but you could only focus on him. It was like in those cheesy movies where the camera focuses on the two people and the sound becomes muffled and the crowd fades out and the two people are like, glowing.
Well that was actually happening. Your drink had gone forgotten and by the time he had walked up to you, it was knocked over by your shaking hand and the bartender was yelling at you but you didn't even seem to notice. His hair was dark brown and curly and his eyes were just- ugh. His face was grown up but his cheeks were a little chubby so you could tell he was still young.
His lips were uniquely shaped but they definitely caught your attention. And when those lips opened to greet you, it was so perfect.
"Hello," he said, smiling softly.
"Hey there," you replied, becoming surprisingly smooth despite your current reaction to this.. this beauty.
"What's your name?" He asked, a curious look in his eyes.
"Joe."
2. This is How it Feels; The Veronicas
His hands tore at everything he could hold: pictures, clothes, papers. Angry tears streamed down his face and when everything was destroyed he stood in the middle of the room, clutching one picture in particular picture he just couldn't rip up even though his actions would say otherwise.
A teeny tiny part of him felt bad for doing this, but he knew it's what he deserved, after what he did? Yeah, he was actually being nice. He said he would always be there, always be the best boyfriend he could be. Well maybe he just lied or just didn't give a flying fuck that he was his whole life.
Nick's world practically revolved around him and he seriously had the guts to go and do that? Yeah, right, like he was going to take that kind of crap. He knew this was coming, Joe had been acting way off for months and Nick tried- he honestly tried to fix things but it obviously wasn't going to work.
He looked down at the tape in his hand, payback. Nick had found some random guy to fuck the shit out of him and taped it so Joe could see what it felt like to be fucked over. He knew that once Joe saw that, he'd want Nick back, but guess what? He was out of luck.
3. Rainbow Veins; Owl City
The sun shone brightly and warmed their pale skin. They were home alone and made good use of the sun and warm weather by lying out in the back yard, basking in its warmth. Living on the East Coast didn't provide you with much of the huge star, but it did, most made sure to put it to good use.
Their hands were holding each other and the older brother gazed upon his younger brother, admiring how he practically glowed since the sun reflected off his ivory skin. His dark hair shone in the light and he just looked so peaceful, like he was meant to be part of this; part of nature in such a way that it made him even more special and immaculate.
"I love you, Nicky," Joe said softly, not really wanting to disrupt the lazy mood that had settled upon the pair but he felt it was necessary.
Nick didn't open his eyes to look at Joe, instead a lazy smile graced his lips and he squeezed Joe's hands, "I love you too."
Joe bit his lip and leaned forward to press a little, damp kiss to the underside of Nick's chin and left the warmth from his skin seep onto his mouth and slowly take over his face.
4. The Ghost of You Lingers; Spoon
Nick stood in front of the wall, staring at a picture hanging on the bland wallpaper but the picture practically glowed so it made the room seem more lively. Even though it only held reminders of the dead. Nick winced a little as he thought this, glancing away from the picture to see the time on the clock. It was almost time for bed.
He bit his lip and looked back at the picture and then turned to go to his basement where he was. Nick opened the door and walked through the brightly lit room, then to the dark, damp room where he was. Nick confidently walked over to the freezer and opened it, smiling when he saw him, he was still in perfect condition.
Nick reached down to touch the skin on his hollowed out cheek. It was ice cold and held no pulse whatsoever. He looked as if he were sleeping but the decay and awful smell said otherwise.
