I can’t believe it’s already Thursday. Didn’t I just get here? Anyhow, it’s about 11 a.m. and it’s been a great morning.
My last interview was today, and I think it just may have been the best of the bunch. The woman and I clicked right away, because amazingly, she knew the town I’m from (Palos Verdes) from going to USC. And she knew the Carrolls (as in Pete Carroll) and their son when to high school with me. So it was basically a great instant connection there. Then she went on to describe my job working with her and really sold the point that I’d have to work hard and prove myself, but that’s when it would pay off the most. When I left she basically said I’d be hearing from her. Going in I looked at this interview as my most intimidating, but I have to say it was definitely the best. I’m sure it helps that I already had two so I was more relaxed, but all the same, it was great.
Back track to last night really quick. Wicked is amazing. Wow. I was in the absolute back, rear mezzanine, but it was so worth it. I can see why this show is sold out every night. Ana Gastyer (from SNL) plays Elphaba (the Wicked Witch) and she was just so great. The whole storyline and everything was really creative, and the music was awesome.
So anyway, it’s my last day in NYC. I leave really early tomorrow for my noon flight. But thanks to the time difference, I’ll get home at 3 p.m. At least it’s a straight shoot, no lay over business, but I’m sure I’ll be out of it. Now I’m probably going to rest up for a while in my room, then dye my hair red(my mom is crying about this right now…but you’ll love it I swear!). Random yes, but it’s fun. And I’m home for three weeks, why not? Then who knows what else I’ll go do. I’m seeing the Wedding Singer tonight again, which I’m really excited for. I think it’ll be great end to my trip, it is such a fun show. Well, I guess it’s best to get out of the cyber cafe and make the most of my last day in New York!
