*Wrote a radio play that will eventually be a stage play for general consumption. It contains gnomes and time travel and is pretty spiffy if I do say so myself. The reason it’s getting readapted is because the gnome interacts with himself from the past, and this is hard to convey in a radio play format. I didn’t discover this until oh, halfway through April. I did win Script Frenzy by writing thirty pages in the last day while setting up writer camp in Inman Perk. There was red velvet ice cream involved, and it was delicious.
*I taught in a classroom! A real classroom! Thanks to my tutoring I got a job teaching math and science in a middle school through the end of the school year. The not so good thing about this is that the school year is over. But boy, do I have a lot of stories.
*My life has taken a turn for the social in recent months. This is why I’m rebelling for Camp NaNoWriMo and writing 50k of whatever I please, most notably catching up on ALL THE JOURNALLING. Also so this can count toward my word count.
*Thanks to QS and @mermaidpants and my own notebook-buying habit, I now have no reason to buy any more notebooks until at least this time next year. Half my bottom bookshelf is crammed with blank notebooks. I also have no reason to buy more tea until I drink some of my own supply. This gives me a really good reason to drink tea every day now that I have more time to do so. Turns out making loose-leaf tea at work isn’t as convenient as bagged tea.
*I met people from the Internet! And saw people again! Namely seeing PearlRose86 and Sachula and re-seeing Cosmam and Raquelin and Francis. And I’ll have an Alok again this upcoming weekend (as well as having him over Easter weekend), so hooray!
*Also, Atlanta Film Festival and fun times. There was a lot of good stuff playing there, and someone recognized me there a few weeks later at a Screnzy write-in.
That sounds like the big stuff. Still thinking of the future of my blogs and how to consolidate them, and unsurprisingly have still come to zero conclusions. Alas.
