So, yeah. Not as bad as I'd been led to believe, but it sure could have been a lot better. In particular, there were some pieces of expository dialogue that would have been right at home on the pages of a (bad) comic book and therefore did not work at ALL on a screen being spoken by, y'know, people.
Worse than Spiderman 1&2, X-Men 1&2, and Batman Begins. Better than, say, Daredevil, Elektra, The Hulk, and the Star Wars prequels. Pretty, but kinda... mediocre. At least Rattner stuck closely to Singer's visual style, but jeez, if they were going to use Whedon's "mutant cure" storyline, why not just get him to direct, or at least pen the script?
