We are having a line of severe thunderstorms go through.

And she has found a new place to hide from the evil thunder gods!

She has crawled under the dishwasher.

We're having our first thunderstorm of the year.

I suspect we're going to have a scaredy-cat under our chairs any time now. She does NOT like thunder. Vacuum cleaners are fine, but the thunder gods are out to get her.

Belinda has spent the last three days napping, and only yesterday was rainy. (It is her usual routine to nap and "hunker down" on rainy days, if there is no thunder to terrify her.)

She is usually a very bouncy cat.

If she's still quiet and listless tomorrow, off to the vet's she goes, just in case.

My cat demanded to have some cheese from my lunch.

She licked it, and licked it, and licked it, and then gobbled it up.

I've never had a cat go nuts for cheese before!

Turkey, yes.  Corned beef, absolutely.  Grilled salmon, sure.  Ditto scallops.

But extra-sharp cheddar?  That was a new one to me.

I took Belinda down to the vetinarian this morning, as she is overdue for her shots and had these weird bumps on her chin.

Dr. Wiggers gave her her rabies etc. shots and said the bumps were caused by stress!

She has fleas.

Fleas in November??????????  I know we live in the "sunny South" but fleas in November?

My cat just tried to eat my hair.  And then she put her paw on the top of my head so she could get a good hold on it while she was chewing.

I didn't really feel the nibbling, but her unsheathed paw hurt!
