Meh, those teas are made with flavor oils, it's just not the same. I got used to real leaf teas like with chunks of other stuff in there. Almonds, cinnamon bark, cloves, anise seeds, flowers (roses, jasmine, hibiscus), sometimes even chocolate depending on the flavor. Which I'm sure sounds strange, but bagged tea... it's just not the same. I've got an order coming from Canada of some nice loose leaf teas, but I like the environment of places like Steeps and Felici-tea. Starbucks just kinda... rips off of those places, creating a more generic version. I mean it's good n'stuff, but if you've had the real deal? Oy.... nothing is good enough anymore unfortuantely.
I think I just need to move to Spain or something, live above a cafe or tea house, or maybe a teeny tiny bakery. That sounds like heaven... *sighs wistfully*
But oh! You can also make your own lattes though stephie - there's these nifty thingies called milk frothers, I got mine from IKEA for like four bucks. Just warm up the milk for like fifty seconds in the nuker, then put the little frother thingy in and turn it on and whip it up. Takes total about a minute n'a half to make the milk frothy and hot. Then just gently pour it in to taste for the coffee or tea of your choice, and scoop out a little bit of the really foamy stuff on top and voila. Latte. Not quite the same as a good steam machine, but closer than most of us can get w/o an expensive espresso/steamer fingy.
Dangit, now I ahfta see if Julia will send me my back up frother, cuz the one I brought down here I lent to a friend and he's not parting with it... *grumbles*Stupid boyfriends...
