I'd just like to start a discussion (to spice up the community a bit) about a recent article posted on
Surpassing Time by... whomever. (Cheers!)
While declining to elaborate, Disney and Walden Media confirmed Tuesday that for budgetary and logistical reasons the Burbank-based studio is not exercising its option to co-produce and co-finance the next "Narnia" movie with Walden. .... The key players of the second installment, "Prince Caspian" -- Ben Barnes, Georgie Henley, William Moseley and Anna Popplewell -- were to return for the third film.

Basically Disney's backing out which means that Walden needs to sign with another production studio to be able to fully fund Dawn Treader. Any guesses on who might? I would've thought New Line might like to, but with Golden Compass tanking, they may not be so inclined. Besides. Golden Compass = blatantly anti-Christian versus Narnia = blatantly Christian, that might not fall through.
I am, however, surprised that Anna Popplewell and William Moseley are returning and it just makes me scratch my head why for. Unless they are simply there for a short period of time. A glimpse of Peter with Professor Kirke? A glimpse of Susan in the Americas? They would certainly use Anna Popplewell for Lucy's temptation in the book of spells. Even if it's only for a brief while, I would love to see Anna and Will return.
Thoughts?
