First box opening of the year!
After 7+ months of waiting I finally got my Peak's Woods Vampire Romantic Dotty Muse on 13th of February.
And even though the shipping was heck expensive I didn't get the package to my home and had to pick it up myself but that was ok. I just don't quite understand the high shipping costs...
The photo quality and the colours are a bit off since these were taken with my cellphone. My camera is stored away with my bjd's. But I had to document the box opening anyway since this was such a waited package!
CoA, three postcards from PW and the special nail hands I ordered with the doll. I also got a pair of 14mm dark green glass eyes but anything dark coloured won't show from a doll who's eyes are only half open so I didn't even bother trying them. I prefer light and vibrand coloured eyes and I might need to order some for this gal...
I know I enjoy the smell of new resin but our cat (one of the two) seemed to enjoy the smell even more than me! The photo is a bit off and his face looks wierd since he's moving but he kept pushing the box and rubbing himself against it. xD I don't remember him being so excited of a doll opening before even though boxes always excite cats.

When I opened her from the box all the worries and stress from months of waiting melted away and it was instant love. At least I didn't have to wait 9 months to see my precious baby...
She poses great!
The colour is a bit off in these photos but the resin is such a beautiful colour in RL! It's more green than mint even though the photo might show it as mint. I'll have to take better photos later and compare the resin to my other green/blue/mint coloured bjds.
I've always loved Dotty Muse's lips but it's those vampire teeth I can't resist! The pointy ears are so cute!
I love the body, not only it's beautiful but it poses great. So many of my bjd bodies are only decent posers, some are even worse than that. Both of my PW girls have beautiful bodies that pose great! So many companies still make bodies that can hardly stand even though I'm sure there are lot's of information available for the creators to use when they sculpt new bodies. I understand that bodies that are 10-15 years old are a bit bad but now every body is double jointed so you would expect them to be able to pose and stand well. Even popular and expensive companies (like Doll Chateau in my opinion) don't make bodies that are both beautiful and pose well.

Later that night I tried on some eyes but didn't really find a suitable pair for her. These are 12mm and might be a bit too small but I felt like 14mm was too big? Maybe none of my eyes just fit the very shallow eye socket she has.
I couldn't find a suitable wig either! But wanted to try something.. I'm thinking light green or blue wig for her? If my other bjds would be here I could try on their wigs for her just to see what colour looks nice but now I only had my extra wigs to try.
So she doesn't have eyes, wig or face-up just yet! Or clothes... I always love to sew new clothes for a doll that has arrived since that's when the new doll tells me her story. I already have a name for this doll and a basic idea what her personality and story will be but all the details will come when she's complete.
I will try to do the face-up myself, hopefully I manage to paint something decent. I don't want to feel ashamed to show photos of my beautiful PW doll who doesn't have a beautiful PW face-up. I just didn't want to order the company face-up this time even though PW does the most gorgeous face-ups.
