I miss Swedish so much. The last time I studied any Swedish was spring of 2011, my last semester at school. My Swedish grade is in: 90%, an A+! An A+ is 90%+, and last term I was very disappointed with my 88%. A good grade, but not an A+. So this term my goal was to get an A+, but I was worried that I would miss the mark again, especially since I failed a quiz because of stupid microbiology. Wednesday was my last Swedish class of the semester, and the lesson was on swearing. What a practical topic, in my opinion, and it's awesome that my prof sees the value in knowing swear words and insults, and isn't uncomfortable to teach us. However, I'm not one of those people who copies down whatever nonsense it spits out; I actually question the answer, and use my knowledge of what I've learned in class to ensure that my sentences are as grammatically correct as possible, and check up on words that I'm not familiar with. Yesterday, my Swedish teacher tested us on our oral skills. She asked each of us to read aloud a short paragraph from the text book (just in front of her and our group members, not in front of the class), and then she gave us feedback on our pronunciation. My latest homework assignment for my Swedish class is to write 10 sentences about our weekend, using a specific word order: [time adverbial] + [verb] + [subject] + [rest of sentence].
