About 15 minutes ago, I heard Simon meowing at the front door. I thought it was odd, as he usually scratches at the door, and his meow sounded strange. I opened the door, and he comes in, with a small bird in his mouth (which is the reason for his odd sounding meow). However, the bird was alive. So of course it's flapping around, freaking me out, but what was most upsetting was Simon was still trying to kill it and kept re-catching it. There was some blood, and several feathers, and I was worried that the bird was alive but very injured. I finally managed to get Simon away from the bird and put him in the bathroom, and at first I thought the bird's wing had been ripped off. Luckily it seemed OK, and after flying around in my place, freaking me out, it finally flew out the door. I hope it's OK!
