During yesterday's lecture, the prof made a point of saying that "bacteria" is the plural of "bacterium". Obviously she would not have pointed this out if some people had not made this mistake on their lab report. But really, if you don't know the difference between "bacterium" and "bacteria", you probably shouldn't be getting a degree in Microbiology and Immunology. And if you think that cholera is caused by a virus, you really shouldn't be getting a degree in microbiology! (The following day, my virology prof said that someone else wrote "the botulism virus" on the quiz.)
