Tomorrow afternoon, I have my appointment to possibly have my Bartholin gland removed. I'm not quite sure what to expect, but at my last appointment, the impression I was given was that it would be removed tomorrow, unless it was very infected, which it isn't (I've been celibate for the past couple of weeks so that it wouldn't get re-infected). I'm under the impression that I'll be examined, and will be given the details of the surgery, and if I want to have crippling, pain-causing useless gland removed, I will have surgery that day. However, I don't know if they will perform the surgery shortly after my examination/consultation, or if I will have to wait hours to have it done. Also, I hope that whatever anesthetic they give me will have worn off by the next day, because I have biochem at 8am on Tuesday, and I really don't want to miss class (even though the notes are posted online, I find going to class very valuable as the teacher will clarify things as well as tell you what you need to know/memorize, things you won't find out from online notes). If I can walk, I'm going to class.

Dave is going to go to the appointment with me, and even offered to stay with me during the surgery. However, I told him that if the surgery is going to be hours later and take a long time, that he does not have to stay with me; I don't want to inconvenience him. But I really appreciate him going to the appointment with me.

cyst, health
