One of the things I needed to buy before school starts is a printer, but I know nothing about computers and printers, so I emailed Dave asking if he would help me buy a printer (also, it was an excuse to see him). I can't remember if I emailed him on Monday or on Tuesday morning, but on Tuesday morning, as I was on the bus on the way to my doctor's appointment, he called me saying that he could meet me after my doctor's appointment. I reminded him that he has his weekly workshop on Tuesday (I thought that was kind of sweet that he was so eager to see me that he forgot about his weekly commitment), so we made plans for Wednesday.
I already had lunch booked with winterlion, and since Dave is also friends with winterlion, I invited him to lunch. Dave, winterlion, a friend of winterlion's who we have both met before, and I had lunch, and then Dave and I went downtown. Dave had an appointment downtown, and after his appointment, we went to Future Shop and bought a printer (it's a printer/scanner/copier combo). After, we went back to my place and had some nachos and cheese, and just hung out for a couple of hours. (Dave was really happy to see Simon.)
It was really nice and comforting, hanging out with Dave. I feel much happier having him in my life.
