Its been a weekend in a whirlwind. I took Friday off. Ran all over creation looking at carpet for the family room, and different hardwood flooring for the living room. We have an idea of what we're getting from the insurance company, so we know what all we can afford to replace. And if we do the work ourself, there is even more money left over to get stuff. Repairing the drywall seems to be a task that Julia wants to accomplish. We borrowed my dad's truck and picked up two sheets of drywall from Home Depot. We got green board, which is a moisture resistant type of drywall. Thats stuff is heavy.
We dropped Augie pug over at my parents because we're all going to visit Julia's sister and husband, who live outside of Parkersburg, West Virginia. They bought a house many years ago, one that needed lots of ripping apart and remodeling. Well, they finally got to a place where they could move in, and they did so a couple weeks ago. The only problem with the new house is that their cat lives there too. I had taken a few benadryl tablets with me. We thought that since they just moved in that I could tolerate the cat. That turned out to be not the case. Now I didn't look as bad as in that movie Hitch, when Wil Smith eats the shellfish, but I was pretty bad. In fact, I'm still a bit swollen around my neck. We were going to stat till Sunday morning, but came home Saturday night. I'm just staring to feel better. I guess I still have my cat alergies. But, it was still good to see their house and have some time for Julia to spend with her sister.
Tonight, I had my last fantasy football draft (at least for this season). All my teams have been selected. First game starts this Thursday. Eech league that I play in has something unique that makes it different. This particular league has a few other compeditors that are just way out there as far as selecting players. Which I love, because it leaves more of the better players available for me to pick up later. Reuben Droughns in the fourth round? Are you serious? You gotta love competition like that.
