Last night was quite fun. I suppose.

I mean, I spent the entire afternoon in the computer lab, studying before I took the exam. I got a 50%. I was pissed. I studying for another hour or so, and felt I had it nailed. I retook it. I got a 50.4%. I threw my hands up in the air and left.

This is going to be harder than I thought.

But Andrew came and joined me for a while and I got the bag I left in his car last week. I have my tweezers and pads, finally!

I got onto Facebook to a message telling me that he has his Visa. Tomorrow he is going to go see his parents, but today he's doing something all day and is very busy. I think that the something he is busy doing is going to the beach, and I'm very jealous. One more week and he'll be back here where we can go days without seeing the sun.

Last night I went to see The Social Network. I'll say that I am glad I didn't have to pay for the ticket, but if I had, I wouldn't have demanded my money back. You won't catch me watching it again anytime soon, but it did make me laugh on occasion. The soundtrack was nearly unbearable (although the use of the Beatles' "Baby, You're a Rich Man" was perfect for the credits) the lighting was always very dark, the characters were unlikeable and belligerent, and Justin Timberlake had wrinkles. And the guy who plays Mark looks just enough like someone I know to annoy me but not to be obvious. Overall, I'd say... meh. Watch it if you're into that. Andrew said someone told him that you have to be pretty Geeky to like it, and I felt offended since I think I'm pretty geeky. I don't think that's what it was, I think you have to like gossip and everyday things more. Modern dramas and realism. That isn't what I like at all.

Now if Eduardo had been kidnapped by the Winklevi and tortured, maybe. Which I could so see; that Tyler Winklevoss was quite moody at times. Who am I kidding? I thought the twins were the best part. "I'm 6 foot 2, 220 pounds, and there are two of me." I'd marry their voices. And Eduardo was cute. It was a movie full of good looking people.

Anyway... I had arrived just on time and Rivka - the acquaintance I made plans to see it with - had saved me a seat. I had texted Reed asking when they were leaving and decided to not wait anymore but catch the bus. "Fuck you, I'm an anteater, and I'm catching the Blue South," were my exact words.

We were sitting in the dark room, the opening scene starting, when I noticed the outline of a man in a leather jacket and glasses standing with a slightly shorter guy looking for seats, which there weren't any. I hissed "You should have taken the bus!!" They ended up in the back somewhere. Afterward we all four walked out together, and then the guys disappeared suddenly. Rivka's bus didn't come for another ten minutes, so we sat and talked for a while.

At about 9:20 I got a text saying "Want to go to Wendy's?" I rolled my eyes. Reed had this obsession with the restaurant, claiming that he has never been to one. Saturday night we had decided we would go soon, but apparently 'soon' means 'tomorrow night.' I responded "Sure, but I've not made it to the bank since last night. Since, you know, it's Sunday." But Reed, despite being an ass to everyone, is one of the most giving people I know, and offered to pay.

Ka-ching.

So I got an order of fries and a M&M Frosty; Reed got some chicken thing and another frosty, and Brett got a burger. When we arrived there was a table of people in there, and I think one of the people may have been a guy I went to school with, Matt. He is somewhat unique looking, with all that curly hair, but I didn't have the courage to go up and say something. So I did what everyone else does and pretend I didn't see him. He must have done the same thing because he left without so much as a glance.

But that's okay, because Reed, Brett and I were having fun like the old times (Old times being, you know, last semester.) They have decided to make a cop show. It's going to be on FX so they can say 'shit' and it's going to be a serious show. Basically, the whole setting will be inside a cop car. They'll never get out. It's decided that Reed will never be wearing pants and Brett is a double amputee, but the audience won't realise this until very late in the series and no explanation will ever be given for his condition. They'll pull over celebrities on trumped up charges just to get the person in their cop car. They'll pick up hookers. They'll run over pedestrians and kill people in the back violently. They'll profile people being very racist (but not against black people) and their predictions will be highly unlikely but always turn out to be right in the end. They are gay lovers, and they've adopted a woman who is older than them. There's a woman also who is played by Brett but is obviously him since he won't even try to change his voice or anything. Finally, when the series is over, there will be a spin off where Reed and Brett split up. Brett will chase people down in his wheelchair, and there will be a mentally challenged character (who may or may not be Brett himself) with a helmet and a light on top of it.

And this will be a drama.

So wait for that in Fall 2011.
